Biography
Hezekiah Lasater grew up in the countryside of northwestern Missouri, discovering his passion for dance at the young age of 9. By 15, he earned a full scholarship to the Kansas City Ballet Academy, where he trained intensively for three years. During his final year, recurring injuries introduced him to the power of massage therapy in recovery, inspiring him to pursue a career as a massage therapist at the Wellspring School of Allied Health.
While studying massage therapy, Hezekiah performed professionally with the Kansas City Lyric Opera in West Side Story and The Pearl Fishers and became a member of the American Guild of Musical Artists. Following this, he focused on massage therapy full-time, refining his expertise in neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue massage, myofascial techniques, sports massage, and guided stretching. Drawing from his personal experience as an athlete, Hezekiah’s practice centers on restoring body balance and facilitating recovery.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BSA in Neuroscience and a certificate in Computational Science and Engineering, Hezekiah is now interviewing with multiple medical schools to pursue his life-long goal of becoming a physician. His goal is to deepen his understanding of the human body and further his ability to support others in their healing journeys. On his days off, you might find Hezekiah swimming, biking, or playing guitar—activities that continue to fuel his commitment to wellness.
